Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Westminster Pastoral Foundation (2003), with advanced training in psychodynamic therapeutic techniques.
About
I am a Senior Accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered supervisor with the British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision (BAPPS). I have been in practice for over 20 years and now work exclusively with an intensive model — offering in-depth, focused support for people processing trauma, relational difficulties, and long-standing emotional patterns.
My original training was at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation, where I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in 2003. Since then I have developed a trauma-focused approach that integrates EMDR — in which I am fully trained to post-diploma level — and Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1). These methods, combined with a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship, allow me to support clients in processing complex experiences and reconnecting with a more integrated sense of self.
Before moving into full-time private practice, I worked in NHS and primary care settings, as well as in organisational and group contexts. That experience continues to inform my work with both clients and fellow practitioners.
As a supervisor, I offer a reflective, grounded space for psychotherapists and counsellors working with complex clinical material. My supervision style is relational and collaborative, with a particular interest in supporting practitioners who are integrating trauma-focused or experiential models.
All of this work is in person, in my consulting room in Henleaze.
